Protega Fair – A Modern Approach to Safety and Rescue

Share

In the face of increasingly frequent natural disasters, epidemic, chemical, and terrorist threats, as well as the rapidly changing geopolitical situation, effective population protection strategies become a key element of security policy. The Protega Fair will serve as a platform for exchanging experiences, presenting modern technological solutions, and discussing best practices in prevention and response to threats.

The inaugural edition of the Population Protection and Civil Defense Fair PROTEGA will take place on November 24-25, 2025, at the Poznań International Fair. It will be a pivotal event for professionals involved in population protection, civil defense, crisis management, and rescue operations.

Fires, floods, hurricanes, chemical and ecological contamination, radiation incidents, epidemic and terrorist threats, building and transport disasters, extreme heat and cold, or disruptions in media supply—these are just some of the hazards that emergency services must be prepared for to ensure the safety of civilians.

The goal of the Protega Fair is to showcase the diversity of issues related to crisis management, population protection, and civil defense. During the two-day event, products and services essential for rescue services and government and local authorities—those responsible for ensuring citizens' safety—will be presented.

— Our priority is to stimulate a broad discussion on safety in risk situations—both those caused by natural disasters and calamities, as well as human activity — says Marcin Gorynia, Director of the Product Group at MTP Group. — We invite experts involved in saving lives and health daily, including representatives of emergency services—firefighters and medical rescue—as well as government and local authority officials, who bear the responsibility for ensuring safety.

The thematic scope of the Protega Fair covers a wide range of issues, including:

- Crisis management

- Population protection and civil defense

- Rescue and medical assistance in crisis situations

- Monitoring, warning, and alert systems for residents

- Communication and connectivity systems

- Mass protection facilities and their equipment

- Civil-military cooperation

The exhibition will be divided into several key thematic areas, covering both hazard prevention and rescue operations, as well as the use of modern technologies in crisis management systems. Exhibitors will showcase rescue equipment, innovative hazard monitoring systems, advanced tools supporting rescue operations, and solutions in communications and IT systems used in crisis management centers.

— I hope that the Protega Fair will become an important point on the map of events dedicated to safety, population protection, and civil defense in Poland, and even in Europe. I am convinced that substantive discussions and panel debates with experts in crisis management and security, as well as presentations of innovative solutions and modern rescue equipment, will make Poznań a place where safety is discussed not only locally but also nationally and across Europe — says Dagmara Suprun, Director of the Protega Fair.

The Population Protection and Civil Defense Fair PROTEGA is a unique opportunity to establish cooperation between rescue services, the private sector, and administration, to exchange experiences, and to familiarize oneself with the latest technological achievements in the field of safety.
